Biography

jomch (Joshua Chan) is a Filipino-American artist and advocate blending Indie Pop and R&B with soulful storytelling, dedicated to creating music that resonates with romantics everywhere. Born in Manila and raised in Bicol, Philippines, Joshua relocated across the globe from Chicago, the Bay Area, Santa Barbara, and now Los Angeles.

His musical journey began with a childhood filled with classic love songs and R&B, evolving through his teenage years in the Bay Area where he picked up the guitar and shared his covers on social media.

While attending UC Santa Barbara, Joshua was inspired by local artists to produce and release his original work, culminating in his debut album 'for hopeless romantics like me' in 2022.

Beyond music, Joshua is deeply committed to social justice and mental health advocacy. As an incoming J.D. candidate at Loyola Law School, he uses his platform to promote empowerment and authentic expression. He has dedicated his efforts towards various causes, including raising significant funds for Philippines Typhoon Relief and supporting underfunded music programs through Crescendo for a Cause.

With performances in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Washington DC, and St. Louis, and having shared stages with Filipino artists like Parokya ni Edgar, AJ Rafael, and Ruby Ibarra, jomch continues to connect with audiences through his music and advocacy. As he navigates his career and social initiatives, Joshua remains true to his Filipino heritage.
